I follow a Sufi path. Seeking of oneness through non-duality, surrender of ego through the transforming fire of unconditional love. We cannot entirely annihilate the ego from our everyday
wayfaring, so I reckon the closest thing to this as earthly possible, is to bring it inline to do the job of serving the soul rather than the other way round as is frequently the case, and of course the basis for so much of our current b******t.
I am an unconventional Muslim revert and intuitive mystic poet drawn to Sufi teachings. I work in the arts as a ceramicist, writer and researcher. I have great interest in indigenous craft practice and travel frequently in North Africa, where I am slowly developing a collaborate arts project in The Western Desert of Egypt - Agben ga Adrar Netlakt - House at Clay Mountain. I draw untold inspiration from the Sahara.
I enjoy a slow pace of life, making time for writing, reading, walks in nature and explorative conversation with friends. I believe in strength of community over the dominant shallow egotistical existence and I attempt to live a simple, humble life in service to something that is greater than its sum of parts.
At a crossroads in my life, separated but not yet divorced, I am not actively seeking a relationship at the moment though would very much like that in the future. Have just relocated back to UK after nearly two decades based in W Ireland, with frequent time in N Africa. I would really love to make some new friendships from UK and wider afield that perhaps could involve travel;
