The way we can light up when we connect with people spiritually, intellectually, politicially and playfully with laughter is a wonderful thing to experience. The feeling that we want to encourage those we care for to be the best they can be and to receive that encouragement for us to be the best people we can be is someting to cherish.
As a psychotherapist I often see people in relationships where there is too little cherishing and that just makes me even more aware of the importance of valuing one another and communicating well.
My sprituality is individual and integrative but at its core is Druidry. How about you?
I sometimes attend gatherings in stone circles and if that does not appeal to you then, whilst I could accept that in a platonic friend, a romance would not work between us because it is too important to me not to want to share it with a partner.

A former BBC broadcast journalist and public relations agency founder director I am an experienced therapist. I get great satisfaction from helping adults and children to transform their lives.
An ex school safeguarding governor, I have run courses for the TUC in negotiation techniques with assertiveness in the past and guest lectured at a few universities teaching students of counselling, medicine, psychology and social work as well as GPs and psychiatrists.
A non-smoker, I am opposed to the use of recreational drugs and do my best to live an ethical life and I drink very little alcohol.
I love comedy, music, delighting in nature including lightweight gardening and photography. I have an armchair interest in archaeology, history and cosmology and many other things, although I sometimes go to stargazing events and have been on digs in the past.
I do a little yoga and a few moves of tai chi. An ex professional DJ, I love to dance but thanks to a form of M.E. I have needed to adapt to dancing just occasionally and briefly because although I walk very short distances I am disabled by it. So whilst I can often park outside a friend's home or small pub or restaurant without my wheelchair, I use a wheelchair in larger venues and the street or meadow. So if you are seeking a physical running mate that ain't me babe, but if you and I connect and you want a running mate in a campaign we both support or encouraging in your endeavours and someone waiting for you with a cuppa and a hug then count me in!
I've been active in political and disability ciivl rights campaigning in the past at national and international levels but whilst sometimes raising issues about access and prejudicial language my focus is on learning more about psychotherapy for adults, couples, children and families.
My career has included being a law court reporter and I am a trained medico-legal expert witness.
Playwrighting is a craft in which I've also been trained and I plan to write screen and stage plays, movies and novels. As an editor I have designed page layouts and art directed photography. Occasionally I try sketching and must try to find time to pick up pastels and paints .
I used to be a part time event compere, performance poet and singer with a bit of stand up, well mainly sit down, comedy thrown in and even won a small award for it from the European Commission! I own a few musical instruments but need to learn how to play them - well apart from my recorder and briefly drumming.
My diet is gluten and dairy free but, for example, I eat fish, seafood, eggs and occasional meat which I might give up.
