Hello,as you may guess i am new to this and here on the recommendation of a friend who found friendship on this site.
What do you want to know?
Not sure where to start,i am a retired social worker/manager,please do not stereotype me,i have been a widow for 3 years and share life with my dog a cavalier king charles spaniel.
I spent nearly 30 years in social work,working with people with learning and physical disabilities and latterly older people,so having spent a lifetime with people i now find myself very much on my own.
I have recently started to ask myself where am i going and what do i want and decided it was time to "dust myself down and start all over again".
I think i am a fairly independent, but it is always better to have someone to share life with,i am not materialistic believing that no one takes away memories and experiences,quite a practical person and quite determined not to be beaten,like trying to load a photo onto this page,as you can tell i am not too good with computers!
I love being outdoors,i drag my grandchildren out in all weathers,i walk every day but i am not super fit,i don''t really enjoy being in cities much prefer the countryside and the sea.
I love cooking and cake decorating,recently took my grand daughter on a chocolate truffle making course for her birthday,had a great, but messy time.
My next challenge is to undertake an artisan bread making course,i love making bread and want to try out new ways of making it.
I have a small garden and green house and try to grow veg,make my own pasta sauce for the freezer.
Trying to grow more flowers to help the bees,i love flowers anyway.
I have spent quite a lot of time in France having had a caravan in Northern Brittany for about 7 years,my language skills are rubbish don''t have the aptitude for them,i now have a caravan on the Lincolnshire coast.
I hate flying so have never really had the inclination to go far off shores,i now want to enjoy places like Dorset and rediscover Scotland.
I spend most of my time in jeans and trousers but i do scrub up quite well if the need arises.
What do i want in someone,not easy to answer because we all have our dreams but realistically i believe you know when you meet someone if there is a spark or not. I suppose someone who is easy going,obviously someone who enjoys the countryside and sea,someone who just wants to enjoy life.
