I consider myself to be a warm, creative and optimistic woman, with a reasonable intellect and an excellent sense of humour! I have many friends both male and female, and I enjoy cooking for them on a pretty regular basis – sharing food is one of the important parts of family life which I do miss. I have been a widow for just over five years, and feel that I am now ready to meet somebody new, somebody to share the simple and beautiful things in life. Somebody I can adore and be adored by? I have an eclectic taste in music, jazz, classical, blues good pop, and read a good assortment of books on my beloved kindle. I am quite passionate about history and so much of what I read and watch is influenced by this. I love to visit galleries and museums when I am in London. I actually live in France now, but make regular visits to the UK. My garden is very important to me. I grow both flowers and vegetables, though the flowers are what I really love. I am retired having worked teaching therapeutic yoga  at a cancer support centre for many years. I studied fine art a lifetime ago,
I have three very beautiful children, all of whom are grown and flown, and two grandsons who       I enjoy very much when we manage to get together. 
Some other things that are important to me, are nature, and the conservation of natural habitats wherever possible. Intelligent and friendly debate on a broad range of issues, but most important of all is laughter. I do find most situations hold an element of humour…
