Greetings to all who visit and read my profile. I am a young 62 years of age who enjoys every second of my life to the full. AND I don't mean jet setting around the world or diving into an olympic sized swimming pool from the balcony of a double storey mansion - ha ha haa.
Oh no, but merely rising every day without a single 'Blue Monday' or Tuesday since 1974 because I just refuse to go to sleep grumpy, bitter, angry or moaning about some silly politician or leader who cannot get their act together!
I am a prolific songwrtier, musician and recording artist, so I guess I am very spoilt being able to see people, animals, children and life in general in a very different light than most.
One of my passions is singing and entertainging Down Syndrome children. And for those of you who don't have the blessing of speaking or singing with them - they are God's extra gift to us and have this uncanny love to be with people and hug you tightly . . . and maybe 10 minutes later, they'll come up and ask your name. I believe parents of Down Syndrome children are chosen, because they have special lessons to teach us about life.
As a pensioner, you either don't have baggage . . or you don't have friends anymore and I love entertainging on the guitar, belting out the sixties hits to dozens of friends on New Year functions and besides, it's far too difficult to carry baggage AND a guitar case, so I lost the one.
I accept anyone as they portray themselves and go with the flow, never trying to change people in their dress, perception or nature. But I draw the line when anyone hits, hurts or harms an animal in my company. Regardless of how large the idiot is, I will stop and confront them as people who hurt animals seriously need help.
Likewise I adore children and make a point of never allowing any 'adults' to tell dirty jokes in the company of young teenagers. 25 years of my life was spent daily speaking and singing to junior and high school children and I created a motto (for them) which their parents hated, but rocked their boats every time.
If you cannot find something better for your children to do, listen to, drink, play with or smoke - don't tell them they cannot partake if you go and do the exact opposite and set such a bad example from the start.
Oh I do serenade (in public) to whoever I date as I am proud to be with that person. But I find it so strange that 'men' shy away from holding hands and hooking their partners round the waist? It makes such a beautiful statement to the lady in question. But then - there are so very few officers and gentlemen left aren't there ladies?
I am not the needy type and neither am I looking for a 'Cling On.'
Yes, I know I have really drawn out my profile and made it more pleasing to the eye (of those like minded ladies who will contact me) and naturally it is a switch off (to those I don't wish to be 'winked' from). Ha ha haa.
Lastly, should there be a woman who loves to walk on an empty beach or sit staring up at the stars for hours alone OR with a partner? Someone who enjoys her own company as she is a true friend to herself first and is honest and extremely loyal to her friends. She will be equally happy in large gatherings of friends and pointless conversations into the night, filtered with red wine, healthy food and just being there for whoever needs them - regardless of the hour.
I wish to enter a friendship and not think of what I can get out of it, but am excited to see what I 'bring to the party' as it were and be honoured to enter her space and life and be trusted with her dreams, goals, fears and pain - should there be any.
My motto is simple and beautiful to live. "..Create a perfect day for yourself - by doing something for someone who has absolutely NO WAY of ever repaying you.." It will change your life foever.
