I am an old fashioned caring gentleman with a good sense of humour. I care about the environment, recycling, other people.
I have spent a career in assisting people, providing advice and information, mostly of the telephone, and I enjoyed this role
I love walking and the countryside and hope to be able to spend more time outdoors.
I enjoy walking up hills (Helvelyn, Scafel, Snaefel, Pendle Hill, the Three Peaks of Yorkshire), through the Yorkshire Dales or across rough moorland of Bronte Country or the West Pennine Moors and following the Leeds - Liverpool canal path.
Whilst I don't drive, I can navigate and read a map. I got myself of Ingleborough in thick cloud / mist when there were only sheep to talk to !
I am a non-smoker and seldom drink alcohol.
I am married, but wife is not as mobile as she once was, so I miss getting out in the countryside.
A walking companion would be lovely
