Despite getting divorced many years ago, this is the first time I have used an online dating agency and I'm not finding it easy to give a clear impression of myself in only a few sentences. I've chosen NF as I have a strong interest in and attachment to the natural environmment and have always tried to live as simply and sustainably as possible, wherever I've been in the world. The less clutter in my life, the happier I am. I gave up the car several years ago and am now enjoying a TV-free period in my life.
I currently live in Greenock, Renfrewshire having moved here from land-locked Worcestershire in early January. The friendliness and warmth of the local people has been overwhelming and helped me to feel welcome and immediately at home. So, a new life, new environment, some new interests - it feels like the right time to embark on a new friendship and, hopefully, romance too.
I'm active and fit with a young outlook on life, slim and blonde. I've moved around the world since my early twenties, often working abroad, and found the years spent in Malawi and Tanzania the most challenging and life-changing. I love wild, deserted places in the countryside or by the sea and enjoy yoga, reading, cycling, walking, table tennis, painting, writing and sewing. The cinema and theatre are also favourites as is listening to a wide selection of music. I also enjoy quiet times to reflect and be still but the company of friends is always very special. I regard myself as caring, kind, sensitive, honest and loyal and value those qualities in others.
I have two amazing children both in their thirties. My daughter, son-in-law and young grandson live in Dublin and my son is currently working in Turkmenistan.
