I take pleasure in the simple things in life and tend to be attracted to people who are, like me, at least a little creative or unconventional (while still having their feet on the ground).
I'm health conscious, spiritual, reasonably energetic, a mixture of extrovert and introvert - love the company of good friends but need solo 'down time' sometimes.
I read widely, (and write), love walking, horse riding, cycling, tea shops, real fires, connecting with nature, dancing. I have a lively mind and love sharing ideas. Also a keen amateur musician, (currently loving playing Cuban/Salsa but enjoy a wide range of music).
Originally from 'up North', I've been living in London since the early 80s though can envisage myself perhaps living somewhere smaller (and hopefully more friendly). Having recently left teaching after many years in Further Education I'm loving being under less pressure in my work role/s as a counsellor/psychotherapist and assessor/writer for a professional association.
Hoping to find a compatible partner (or at least a good friend/s). My ideal person would be up for conversation, exploring countryside (and tea shops!), perhaps occasional urban wanderings, someone with an interest in ideas, a great sense of humour and a warm nature.
