I'm single, live in a nice period house on the edge of the north-west Essex countryside. I'm a dog lover - my current flame is an 11-year-old chocolate labrador called Nellie. I am an ex-computer analyst, now working as an IT tutor, and, as an inveterate writer, now trying an SF novel. I enjoy literature, rock and classical music, BBC4 TV, and the arts generally. I'm a thinker and have a spiritual side so I'm always up for deep discussions on philosophy, psychology, science, politics - anything you like! Surprise me!!
I enjoy walking and cycling in the country; being close to nature and exploring historical towns and cities. I like quiet nights in, and am getting better at gardening and DIY - of necessity. I like doing puzzles and playing games too - still haven't got to grips with cryptic crosswords though. I’m not especially sporty, but keep fairly fit, and I do like motor racing. I have an interest in environmentalism and have done voluntary nature conservation work. I suppose I'm the sensitive creative type - not into noise and crowds; but caring, reliable and honest. I'm slim with brown hair (all of it). I am fairly secure financially.
