My great love is walking in the Lake District and other wild beautiful places
I am a slim fit attractive woman of 62 with a background in the arts and education
I work part time now as I want a less pressurised lifestyle
Indoor pursuits include Yoga, Pilates and reading-my book club ensures that the reading is eclectic !
I also love the theatre and films and gardening and speaking foreign languages-reasonably fluent in French and schoolgirl German and Russian
Have been a vegetarian for 40years and having travelled extensively and lived with people from Asia I love cooking tasty vegetarian dishes for friends and family
I am looking for someone who enjoys some of my interests and might introduce me to some new ones
I value warmth and honesty and can promise to give that
I would hope that a friendship based on shared interests might develop into something more with time and trust and some mutual attraction
I have a lurcher dog, a small flock of hens, a wide range of friends ...

My Passions

- I used to love dancing including 5 rhythms but have not danced much in recent years..you might help that change?
- One of my greatest pleasures is walking the fells with my dog
- I read a lot and love the stimulus of the book group I am in.
- I work as a psychotherapist in the NHS and voluntary sector
- Until I retire I am not in the Lakes full time but I have a lodge there and get up frequently by train
- One of my other loves is the theatre. Not performance work these days but the theatre by the Lake is somewhere I love to visit
- Good food is important to me and I enjoy cooking with the content of my veg box, my raised beds, my herb garden and my hens
- I have an eclectic taste in music enjoying classical and folk especially. I sing in a choir.
- I have a rich circle of friends but I would like someone special with whom to walk the fells, go to the theatre, enjoy meals with...and who knows what else
